Delaware Envirothon!

It’s time once again to begin thinking about the 2015 Delaware Envirothon.

The Envirothon is an environmental program and competition for high school age students (grades 9-12). Combining in-class curriculum and hands-on training, the Delaware Envirothon is guaranteed to enhance your students’ and your practical knowledge and application of environmental science. Some program highlights include:

  • College Scholarships and Cash Awards
  • Career Exposure
  • Current Environmental Issues
  • Collaborative Learning Experience
  • Problem Solving
  • Public Speaking Skills
  • Teacher Credit Hours through the Delaware Teacher Center
  • Hands-on workshops—these hands-on workshops are scheduled for October 18th (Soils and Forestry), November 8th (Urban and Community Forestry), and January 24th (Air Quality, Aquatic Ecology, and Wildlife)
  • Winning team will attend the NCF Envirothon in Springfield, Missouri July 27-August 1, 2015
  • Scholarships and prizes for top teams at the NCF Envirothon
