Field trip contest from DuPont

Want to get your students outdoors this spring, to experience one of Delaware’s fantastic environmental education centers? Why not enter the DuPont Clear into the Classroom field trip contest? The program sponsors field trips for students in grades 3-5 from any school in Delaware. The winning classroom will receive bus transportation, lunch, and any program costs.

The deadline is April 15, 2014.

Kickoff Event to Feature Richard Louv

You are invited to attend the Delaware Children in Nature Kickoff event on October 1st from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at Delaware Technical Community College’s Terry Campus, 100 Campus Drive, Dover.  DAEE is proud to be a sponsor of this event. The event will include a keynote by Richard Louv, writer of one of the most influential books in environmental education, Last Child in the Woods.

“Turning the Tide on Environmental Education”

Planning is in full force for DAEE’s third annual conference, full of speakers, exhibits, and opportunities for networking and professional development. The conference will be held on Saturday, February 25th, at the Officer’s Club in Cape Henlopen Park.  We are extremely excited that acclaimed environmental author Tom Horton has agreed to be our keynote speaker.
